Ramón Hernández, a mercenary for the nefarious Life Foundation, aimed to ensure a secure future for the rich amid Cold War fears of nuclear fallout. To create superhuman peacekeepers for their envisioned utopia, the Foundation experimented with the Venom symbiote, and Ramón was selected as a host, becoming "Lasher."
